Customer Comments Hi Mark, You out did yourself again! I have been listening and watching Rumor Mill for 2 days now and I'm only half way through the 2 discs. This set is incredible! By the time I get through talking about "Rumor Mill", people are going to think I work for AIX Records. Glen (The) DVD...arrived yesterday. I started watching the DVD after getting home from a gig last night....BIG mistake, as I was up until about 3:30 in the morning! Wow, that is an incredible DVD. I appreciate that you chose to do both live and studio videos. Having such great sound quality allows me to really hear Cliff, which is sometimes hard on music CDs. Bernie is just incredible! This is clearly the best produced music DVD I've seen! Dave P. About the Recording Approach This recording is NOT an attempt to "document" a live recording of a rock blues trio but instead an exploration of the creative process of making and recording music on videotape and using high-resolution digital audio recording equipment. AIX Records uses no EQ, dynamics processing or artificial reverberation...everything you hear is as the musicians played it. Both "audience" and "stage" 5.1 mixes and a PCM 96/24 bit stereo mix are included on the disc on the DVD-Video side. However, it is the DVD-Audio 96 kHz/24 bit tracks encoded with Meridian Lossless Packing [MLP] that elevates the listening experience well beyond a traditional CD or even a live event. You can chose to listen from the middle of ensemble and hear the sound of the instruments coming from all directions or place yourself in the "best seat in the house". The dynamic range and fidelity offered by the 96 kHz/24 Bit source recording makes this recording come to life. About the Disc The production is the second of a series of AIX Records Collectors Editions. Each CE project is "hand-crafted" and include two-discs, premium packaging with a 12-page booklet, CD compatibility, DVD-Audio and DVD-Video versions of the music and video, linear and interactive access to the media and much more.
